To all those who support peace and oppose war,
Please support the peace rally that will be held at Shannon Airport on Saturday next 12th October, at 2pm. The demonstration will begin at the roundabout near Westair as you approach the airport. Shannon airport is now being used daily by serveral US military and chartered troopcarriers to support the buildup for the continuation of the War against Iraq. This is a clear breach of Irish Neutrality and contrary to the wishes of most Irish people. While supporting the right of any country to self defence, the killing of more innocent people in response to terrorists attacks is both counterproductive and unjust. One crime against humanity cannot be atoned for by further crimes against humanity. By our silence we can be passively supporting war and destruction against innocent people. The role of the Irish people should be to promote peace, justice and sustainable development for all peoples of the world. Please help to restore Irish neutrality and Irish support for UN reform. Forward this message to all your friends and contacts, and participate in the peace rally at Shannon. Let your voice be heard, above the roar of the bombers.
